After creating projects designed to improve patient outcomes and completing a year-long program, 24 Texas Health Resources clinicians graduated from the TCU Evidence-Based Practice Fellow program on Sept. 25. The fellowship brings together diverse health care practitioners to learn about research, evidence and measurement. Jessica Villarreal, B.S.N., R.N., Texas Health Arlington Memorial Hospital, received the prestigious Impact Award at the graduation. She was honored for the sustained impact of her work on infant immersion (tub) bathing. Other nurses honored among all of the participants included Susan Blume, B.S.N., R.N., Texas Health HEB, silver poster winner; Meredith Golden, P.T., D.P.T., Texas Health Alliance, bronze poster winner; Catherine Glenn, B.S.N., R.N., Texas Health Dallas, gold abstract winner; and Gretchen Umlor, B.S.N., R.N., Texas Health HEB, bronze abstract winner.
