Advancing Nursing Through Education

The WHY: Advancing Nursing Through Education

NCAP, the Nursing Career Advancement Program, is helping nurses – Levels III through VI – advance their careers and grow financially, while allowing them to receive the recognition they deserve.

In this edition of The WHY video series, we speak with Mary Robinson, Ph.D., R.N., NEA-BC, vice president of Professional Practice, Research and Magnet and Jennifer Meckley, B.S.N., RNC-NIC, at Texas Health Harris Methodist HEB. They give us the inside scoop on how this program helps Texas Health nurses to stay at the bedside and perform direct patient care while participating in shared governance, research and the promotion of evidence-based practice.

“These nurses are considered advanced experts in their field and are playing a major role in driving innovation and change,” said Mary.

Congratulations to all nurses who participate in NCAP!
