Work location: Texas Health Dallas 8200 Walnut Hill Ln., Dallas, TX 75231

Work hours: PRN “As needed”, Rotating schedule, including rotating weekends and holidays

Here’s What You Need

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent required
  • EKG certification strongly preferred
  • 1 year of telemetry monitoring experience strongly preferred 
  • GE Monitoring System experience preferred
  • Basic understanding/ability to learn medical terminology
  • BCLS – Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly required.

 

What You Will Do:

  • Demonstrates competence in the set up and use of the telemetry monitoring equipment.
  • Collects, reports, and documents patient information (rhythms/rate) timely and accurately.
  • Seeks assistance, supervision, or consultation when unsure of rhythm(s) identification.    
  • Distinguishes and reports abnormalities and initiates action to provide.
  • Distinguishes and reports abnormalities and initiates action to provide continuity of care.    
  • Processes admission and discharge or patients in system promptly. Prepares monitor for next patient admission.
  • Notifies patient’s primary RN promptly of any changes in patient’s monitor view.
