Job Qualifications

Represents and advises in all legal matters for THR hospitals, THPG, or other THR System Services departments. Handles a wide range of legal responsibilities as assigned. Assists with interpretation and application of State and Federal rules. Works with minimal supervision Vice President, Legal Services. 

Participate as a member and/or attend various committees and/or meetings. 

Education
Bachelor’s Degree Required
And
J.D. Required
Experience
5 Years Legal or Compliance experience Required
and
2 Years Healthcare Law Required

Licenses and Certifications
JD – Juris Doctor by State Bar of Texas with in 6 Months of hire Required

The primary focus of work experience in the hospital/health care industry should include Physician Group operations. Representation of hospitals is a plus. Medical malpractice experience is not relevant to this position.

Skills
Strong academic credentials, excellent writing and speaking skills, ability to relate to all levels of personnel within THR as well as medical staff members.
