Work hours: Full Time Days Monday through Friday (7:30am-4:00pm) for 40 hrs/week.

Here’s What You Need

·         Associate’s Degree in engineering or engineering technology.(Required) Or

·         Military electronic training (Required)

·         Bachelor’s degree in engineering or engineering technology (Preferred)

·         7 years in Healthcare Technology Management (Required) And

·         1 Year progressive leadership experience (Required)

·         Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record. (Required) And

·         Completion of Basic Networking Course within 2 years (Required) And

·         AAMI Certification (CBET/CRES/CLES/CHTM) (Preferred)

 

 

What You Will Do

The Healthcare Technology Management Supervisor leads Healthcare Technology Management initiatives to provide superior customer service and operational efficiency by managing the execution of the HTM Medical Equipment Management Plan (MEMP). This position assists the HTM Biomed Zone Manager with all aspects of program management, including work history data analysis, staffing allocation, budget control, equipment acquisition planning, and vendor management. The role also involves auditing compliance with the Medical Equipment Management Plan (MEMP) and KPIs, while maintaining positive relationships with customers and leading the team.

Leadership:

·         Monitors team workload and performance metrics to ensure priorities are met efficiently. Exhibits exceptional customer service when Interacting with both internal and external customers.

·         Establishes work priorities, supervises, and supports all assigned staff.

·         Assist manager with coaching and recommends disciplinary actions.

·         Participates in hospital committees as needed: (e.g., Environment of Care, and Capital Planning Committees)

Service:

·         Supervises the installation, troubleshooting, repair, and calibration of clinical equipment.

·         Oversees the calibration of test and measurement devices (TMDE) for the assigned inventory.

·         Provides strong verbal/written communications consistent with assigned tasks.

·         Assists in evaluating new equipment, ordering accessories, parts, and supplies for the assigned team operations.

·         Assist manager with Root Cause Analyses, incident Investigations, and hazard and recall management.

·         Provides alternate solutions to HTM Manager for critical and complex issues. Assists in decision making prior to implementation

Operational Quality:

·         Supervises scheduled maintenance and safety inspections.

·         Ensures high-quality service delivery, cost containment, and proper time and resources utilization.

·         Assists in the evaluation of new equipment, accessories, and supplies and the development of detailed purchase specifications.

·         Mentors and coaches?�� staff on technical, customer service, and the clinical environment.

·         Creates and recommends training plans.

Financial Commitments:

·         Supervises, coordinates and evaluates the work of service contractors

·         Demonstrates cost-effective decision-making-.

·         Provides input for budgeting and financial performance evaluations

·         Implements cost-control measures through resource allocation and operational planning. Applies knowledge and experience of technology and/or equipment to advise on-site operations and provide supervision to others.

Operations Management:

·         Supervises service operations functions, such as service contracts and resources.

·         Oversees inventory management of parts and shop supplies.

·         Oversees the process for recovering exchange part credits.

·         Develops service strategies with a focus on continuous process improvement.

·         Reports metrics to HTM Manager.

·         Ensures accuracy of CMMS database by performing periodic audits.

Account Management & Development:

·         Collaborates with customers and vendors to develop solutions.

·         Assists in setting financial goals and performance benchmarks.

·         Assists manager with financial performance and savings opportunities.

·         Assists manager with financial responsibility for site and budget readiness.

·         Participates in customer departmental meetings.

·         Engages with customers when there are service delivery delays or concerns.
