WORK LOCATION: Texas Health Dallas, 8200 Walnut Hill Ln, Dallas, TX 75231
WORK HOURS: Full Time Days(7A-7P) for 36 hrs/week. Weekend and holiday requirements
Neuro/Trauma ICU Department highlights:
Our 24-bed ICU is dedicated to providing specialized care for patients with acute neurological conditions, surgical needs and traumatic injuries. HERE’S WHAT YOU WILL NEED:
· Diploma of Nursing OR Associate degree in Nursing (ADN) required;
· BSN preferred.
· 1 Year Experience as a clinical nurse (RN) or completion of an RN residency program Required;
· One or more years of NTICU experience strongly preferred
· RN – Registered Nurse Upon Hire Required
· BCLS upon hire – Require upon Hire
· ACLS upon hire – Require upon Hire
· CPI within 30 days of hire
· A high degree of confidentiality, positive interpersonal skills, and ability to function in a fast-paced environment.
What You Will Do
· Delivers care to patients utilizing the Nursing Process
· Assesses the patient
· Plans the care of the patient
· Intervenes as appropriate
· Evaluates the effectiveness of interventions
· Incorporates age specific safety/infection control measures into patient care.
· Initiates action to meet patient and/or significant others need for information
· Maintains continuity of patient care inter-shift, inter-hospital, and while expediting out of hospital transfers.
