Graduate Nurse Residency – February 2025

Come and join our Graduate Nurse Residency Program! We invite new graduate RN’s to apply for this unique opportunity.  The next cohort will begin on February 24, 2025. 

Integrated into a Hospital’s education structure, the Texas Health Graduate Nurse Residency Program includes a guided clinical experience with an instructor-led core curriculum, a formal mentoring program, informative debriefing/self-care sessions and supportive 360-degree evaluations. Residents not only participate in the learning experience on their personally selected home units, they also rotate/cross train through other departments to gain an expanded nursing experience vital to the complex patient care. 

The Texas Health Nurse Residency Program is a comprehensive, evidence based on-boarding program with a 15-month employment commitment that offers new graduate nurses an exciting opportunity to gain the experience, judgment, skills and confidence to successfully navigate the complexity of hospital life.  

Where you will be working: 
•    Work location: Texas Health Southwest; 6100 Harris Pkwy, Fort Worth, TX 76132 
•    Work environment: Intermediate Neuro PCU
      -36 bed PCU Department; Nurse/Patient Ratio: 1:4 depending on acuity.
      -Patient population: intermediate /telemetry level of care for the post-acute stroke, general medical, endocrine GI/renal patient population
      -MAGNET facility
      -Level III Trauma Center
      -Primary Stroke center
      -Stroke designated unit.

•    Work hours: full-time, (3)-12-hour shifts; rotating weekends, holidays, and on call shifts required
