Our Medical Surgical Units include:

• Short Stay Unit - a 23 private bed medical-surgical unit that cares for a wide range of disease processes and postoperative conditions
• Orthopedic Unit – a 36 bed unit that have standard joint replacements, revisions, complex reconstructions, and musculoskeletal oncology surgery; as well as any other general medicine diagnosis and we have the capability for monitoring remote cardiac telemetry patients
• GU/Bariatric Unit -  a 24 bed inpatient unit that is uniquely special because it manages the care not only of GU and Bariatric patients, but various medically complex patients
• Gastrointestinal (GI) Unit  - a 24 bed unit that specialize in the care of GI patients which includes the digestive system and gastrointestinal tract from general procedures to more complex medical diseases: Gallbladder, Lap chole, surgeries, infections, IR drains, Colon and Prostate Cancer
• Neurology Unit - a 23 bed unit committed to providing clinical excellence and compassionate care to patients faced with health conditions that affect the brain, back, spine and nervous system
• Epilepsy Monitoring Unit -  a 9 bed Unit with a strong clinical team specializing in the treatment of epilepsy (multiple conditions for patients with complex and difficult-to-control seizures)
• Trauma Unit – a 14 bed unit with our new trauma program with supportive care of trauma patients which includes medication administration, wound care, physical and occupational therapies, pain management, care of orthopedic injuries and neurological injuries
Minimum Requirements / Qualifications:
• Graduate of a NLN (National League of Nursing) or CCNE (Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education) accredited nursing programs
• BSN preferred. RNs hired after January, 2014, require completion of BSN within 3 years of start date. RNs hired within THR after December, 2016, require completion of BSN within 2 years of start date
• One year experience as a clinical nurse, or completion of an RN residency program, or acceptance into a THR residency program
• Current AHA BLS 
• Current RN licensure or compact licensure recognized by the Texas Board of Nursing

Full Time Shifts:
• 7am – 7pm (Days – 12 hours)
• 7pm – 7am (Nights – 12 hours)
