Qualifications/Duties:
Texas Health Harris Methodist Hospital Southwest Fort Worth is seeking a Medical Laboratory Scientist Lead for their Laboratory.

Hours:
• Full Time
• 40 hrs/week assigned as five 8hr shifts typically 1030-1900, M-F with rotating weekends and holidays

Required Minimum Education:
• Bachelor degree in Medical Technology, Clinical Lab Science, Applied Technology or Chemical, Physical or Biological science (proof required)
• Individuals hired as a CLS II (or CLS Ld) prior to January 3, 2010 will be grandfathered to the MLS Ld position with existing education

Required Minimum Experience:
• 4 years’ experience in a medical laboratory which includes clinical internship
• Preferred: 2 years supervisory experience.

Required License/Certification:
• MT (ASCP), MLS (ASCP) OR equivalent (AMT, AAB, HHS, NCA, HEW, CLS- CA, FL, NY state license, Philippine Board of Technical Technology) OR ASCP specialty certification for specific discipline
• Preferred MT (ASCP)or MLS (ASCP)

Required Skills:
• Strong positive interpersonal skills
• Ability to read, write and speak English clearly
• Problem solving ability, time management skills
• Possess organizational skills to function successfully in a fast paced work environment
• Computer literate in Word, Excel or other data bases
• Administrative skills to compile statistics and maintain logs
• Ability to multitask
• Preferred: Experience with Cerner Millennium LIS
