The Siratt's Women's Center at Texas Health Hurst Euless Bedford (HEB) Hospital has a full-time opportunity for an experienced Level III Neonatal ICU (NICU) RN. This is a baby-friendly facility.
Qualified candidates must possess the following:
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
RNs hired within THR after December 2016, require completion of BSN within 2 years of start date.
* Required minimum experience:
One (1) year experience as a clinical nurse (RN), or completion of an RN residency program for NICU.
* Required license/certification:
Current RN licensure or compact licensure recognized by the Texas Board of Nursing upon hire; and AHA BLS and ACLS training certification upon hire.
* Credentials specific to specialty as defined:
Current NRP certification upon hire
* Required skills (if applicable):
A high degree of confidentiality, positive interpersonal skills, and ability to function in a fast-paced environment.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) is preferred.
(Must obtain BSN within 2 years from date of hire)
- More than 2 years of current RN experience in a Neonatal ICU Level II.
- Experience with Bubble CPAP, CPAP, vents, drips, jets, oscillators.
- critical thinking skills are necessary
16-bed Level III Neonatal ICU
Neonatal Nurse Practitioners coverage 24/7
28-week on up gestation
Full-time: (3) 12-hour shifts per week, 6:45PM-7:15AM, 36 hours/week including rotating weekends and holidays; self-scheduling
