Qualifications/Duties:
The Certified Patient Transporter provides safe, timely transportation of patients and patient related items, as well as traction supplies and set-ups to all areas of the hospital in a manner that promotes customer satisfaction.

Hours:
Full-Time 1st shift 8:00am-4:30pm
Must be available to work weekends
Days off may vary and are not guaranteed be two days in a row

Required Minimum Education:
High School Diploma or Equivalent

Required License/Certification:
BLS (Basic Life Support) CPR

Requires Skills:
* Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English instructions, safety rules and guidelines
* Proven capability to work independently;
* Ability to operate VIP system, cellular beepers/telephones, wheel chairs, stretchers, hospital beds, oxygen tanks, and IV poles properly
* Strong customer service and problem resolution skills

Job Duties:
* Transport patients, paperwork and patient belongings during admissions, dismissals, and transfers to and from test areas within set standards.

* Follow proper protocol for use and organization of traction supplies and the supply room

* Orthopedic traction set-ups as well as inventory of orthopedic supplies and equipment.

* Transport audio/visual equipment, clean linen, late trays and other requested items to all areas of the facility within set standards.

* Cover special areas as assigned.
