Required Minimum Education:
High school Diploma or Equivalent
Required Minimum Experience:
3 years in maintenance and repair of physical plant equipment and utilities systems.
Healthcare environment preferred.
Valid Texas Driver's License upon hire.
Must have good written and verbal skills to read blue prints, work orders and interact with staff, tenants, contractors and others. Able to use hand tools, electrical tools and others with little supervision. Requires the ability to travel, climb stairs and ladders to access equipment; pushing, pulling, lifting, stretching, reaching, bending, kneeling, crouching, stooping and standing in difficult positions in crowded quarters to make inspections and observe equipment, displays and dials.
Maintain the efficient operation of the facility by:
- Identify equipment operational and maintenance needs
- Implement preventive maintenance program for plant equipment, machinery and related facilities
- Record mechanical equipment readings and ensure accuracy of records kept.
- Maintain plant safety features Perform major repair on machinery and to the facility including HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems, carpentry and mechanical equipment.
-Perform routine mechanical, electrical, or machining maintenance activities on equipment including lubrication, inspection, replacement of parts, and related plant work activities.
-Keep accurate computerized records of activities, time, and materials required; keeps accurate reports of equipment maintenance and performance.
-Participate in hospital and departmental safety programs, educational opportunities, and related training.
