Texas Health Presbyterian Dallas, a MAGNET recognized facility, provides a wide range of health care services and programs to fulfill the mission of improving the health of the people in the communities the hospital serves.
23 bed unit with 2 PCT’s on days and when needed 3 PCT’s. Nurse to patient ratio is 1:5 most of the time sometimes 1:4 or very rarely 1:6. Work with Nero surgery patients. Length of stay is 5 days.
Full Time Night Shift - 7p-7a weekdays and weekends/three shifts per week including weekends.
Graduate of a NLN (National League of Nursing) or CCNE (Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education) accredited nursing programs. BSN preferred.
RNs hired after January, 2014, require completion of BSN within 3 years of start date. RNs hired within THR after December, 2016, require completion of BSN within 2 years of start date.
One year experience as a clinical nurse, or completion of an RN residency program, or acceptance into a THR residency program.
Texas Board of Nursing license upon hire to practice as a RN, Current AHA BLS training and license upon hire.
Crisis Prevention Intervention Training required within 60 days of hire.
ACLS required within 6 months of hire.
The RN must practice within the regulations of the Texas Nurse Practice Act, serve as a role model, intra/interdisciplinary collaborator and coordinator for quality patient care.
A high degree of confidentiality, positive interpersonal skills and ability to function in a fast-paced environment is also a must.
