Texas Health HEB seeks to hire a Certified Dialysis Technician to work PRN ( as needed)  for the day shift (7a-7p) on the ICU floor. This position will be Monday- Saturday with rotating Weekends ( Saturdays) and on-call required.

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications

Required minimum education:
High school graduate or equivalent
Successful completion of training course in water testing training per Hemodialysis Standards within 90 days of hire

Required minimum experience:

Required license/certification:
CPR required within 30 days of hire
Must have CCHT certification or must obtain certification within 18 months of hire.

Require 6 months dialysis technician, phlebotomy or CNA experience

Required skills (if applicable):
Basic computer competency to include knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel; Excellent verbal, written communications and interpersonal skills; Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English instructions, safety rules and guidelines

Patient Care: Obtain pre and post treatment weights, initiate and terminate dialysis treatments per protocol, vital signs, monitor patients during treatments and report significant information or changes in patient condition to RN or Charge Nurse, obtain blood samples for laboratory analysis per physician order, accurate documentation into the electronic medical record (EMR), may reinforce patient education. .
