Texas Health HEB is looking to hire a Fitness Specialist to lead Aquatics classes.
Shift Days and Hours:
Monday, Wednesday, Friday 10:45am - 7:15pm
Tuesday, Thursday 10:00am - 6:30pm
Hours can vary.
Bachelors Degree in Exercise Science or related field required.
Licenses and Certifications:
BCLS Required upon hire
>Teach Group Aquatic Exercise class; be comfortable in an aquatics setting.
>Be attentive to patient/participants fitness/health needs (motivate and basic education on exercise, nutrition and health); be accessible, approachable and interactive; educate and enforce policies and procedures; adjust schedule as needed to ensure supervision is always provided; be responsible for form and safety of all patients.
>Provide services to patient/participants located at the facility.
>Plan, develop, direct, implement, evaluate and participate/instruct designated program/classes; develop and implement special events, education for patients.
>Assumes leadership of assigned programs.
>Ensure equipment is operating at maximum capacity (inspect and clean as needed - make routine repairs - log and follow through with maintenance requests/work orders) maintain clean area.
>Minimize patient accidents or incidents.
>Provide safe, clean, sanitary environment. Supplies are available as needed. Equipment is maintained.
>Provide Service Excellence; addresses and resolves patient concerns/issues immediately and provide feedback to supervisor.
> Patient concerns addressed and followed-up.
>Attend and contribute to staff meetings; responsible for communication (email, etc.); submit work orders and RL reports as needed.
