Our Denton location is seeking to hire a Registered Nurse for our Cardiac Cath Lab.

Work Schedule:
Shift Days and Hours - 40 hours per week
Monday through Friday;  (Flexible per department's needs, Example-6:30am to 3:00pm or 7:30am to 4:00pm or 8:30am to 5:00pm)

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:

Required Education:
Associates Degree in Nursing

Preferred Education:
Bachelors Degree in Nursing

RNs hired after January 2017 require completion of BSN within 2 years of start date. RNs hired
between January 2014 and December 2016 require completion of BSN within 3 years of start date.

Required License/Certifications:
RN - Registered Nurse Upon Hire
BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support Upon Hire Expiration date greater than 3 months preferred.
CPI - Crisis Prevention Intervention Training 60
ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support 90 Days  

Preferred License/Certification:
CCRN - Critical Care Registered Nurse Upon Hire
RCIS - Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist Upon Hire
RCES - Registered Cardiac Electrophysiology Specialist Upon Hire

Required minimum experience:
1 Year experience as a clinical nurse or completion of an RN residency program

Preferred Experience:
2-5 years of experience as a RN in Cardiac Cath Lab or Cardiac Cath Lab Recovery.
2 years of experience as a RN in Critical Care or ED.

- Supervises and evaluates the performance of delegated activities
1) Preceptor
Serves as a preceptor for students, GNs, and new employees
Maintains all required education for preceptor role in a timely manner as required by policy
Sets goals, reviews outcomes and interventions in a timely manner
facilitates the transition from new employee to team member
Familiar with and compliant with Versant expectations and goals
2) Charge RN
Serves as charge RN
Models positive behavior and facilitates teamwork amongst staff and healthcare team
Performs service recovery consistent with the HEART model
Follows hospital/department criteria and guidelines (assignments, quality control, teamwork, etc)
3) Workplace Accountability and Professionalism
Maintains all required licensure and AEH requirements
Attends all required education in-services; completes MyTalent modules in the assigned timeframe
Attends 75% of all unit meetings
Identifies areas for improvement and initiates actions to achieve goals
Adheres to all THR, THDN, and departmental polices and expectations (parking, dress code, attendance, etc).
