Texas Health Central Staffing has initiated a search for an Administrative RN Supervisor for our Nursing Systemwide casual labor office. This is a PRN position and will work as needed.
This position functions as an administrative supervisor on a PRN basis at the entities.
The Supervisor will report directly to the Director of Central Staffing. The incumbent will be responsible and have limited accountability for the overall staffing, time and attendance, payroll, charges, front line management of PI Projects, Quality indicators, work flow and personnel performance.
The Supervisor will also be responsible for participation in evaluations, interviews and management of the department to meet Key Performance Indicators related to budget and the strategic plan. Additional responsibility includes assuring credentialing compliance, onboarding and cross training activities across the system.
In addition, this role requires a supervisor to assist in facilitating the flow of patients and staff across the system.
Qualifications and Experience:
Must possess and maintain current RN licensure that allows practice in the state of Texas
Bachelor’s Degree is preferred.
BLS/ACLS at time of hire National Certification preferred
3-5 years current RN experience in appropriate setting
Professionalism and a high degree of confidentiality are required. Must be accountable and responsible for the coordination of the unit activities, mentor to staff in patient safety practices, provide team members with assistance, supervision and consultation, and make patient assignments.
In addition to these requirements, previous experience in Joint Commission preparation and experience in continuous quality management
On-line staff scheduling and Electronic Health Record a plus.
Must be an expert clinician; positive interpersonal skills; leadership ability and skills, proactive problem solving; basic computer skills; excellent customer and critical thinking skills, Must be a team player and have ability to function in a fast paced environment.
