The Mission Control associate is responsible for transporting patients by the appropriate method to and from all patient care areas of the hospital.
PRN "as needed"
May include some weekends and holidays
Texas Health Harris Methodist Hospital Alliance - Fort Worth
High School Diploma or equivalent required
Ability to make independent decisions while maintaining tact, maturity, and a professional attitude.
Excellent verbal communication. Ability to read, write, speak and understand the English language.
Knowledge of Windows/PC helpful.
Proactive problem solving; good interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills; advanced computer skills; time management.
CPR certification required within 90 days of employment
Transports patients by the appropriate method to and from all patient care areas.
Incorporates the National Patient Safety Goals including but not limited to improving the accuracy of patient identification, improve the effectiveness of communication among caregivers and improve the effectiveness of the clinical alarm system.
Requires lifting, bending, and reaching.
Requires knowledge of safe transportation techniques.
Requires knowledge and use of National Patient Safety Goals.
Ability to read and interpret orders in the patient’s chart. Requires ability to verify orders in chart against proper patient identification.
Requires excellent customer service skills.
Transports patient care equipment, supplies, mail and other applicable supporting items throughout the hospital.
The purpose is to supplement the necessary movement of patient and supplies in an efficient and effective way.
Assists patients in dressing appropriately for procedures.
