Texas Health Resources seeks to hire a Records Management Specialist.

Part-time Days, 24 hours weekly
Hours range between 3 days (8am-4:30 pm)

Minimum Required Education:
High School Diploma or Equivalent (GED)
Associates Degree in HIM or related preferred.

Minimum Required Experience:
3 years in Healthcare experience with Electronic Medical Records.

Required License/Certification: NONE
RHIT preferred.

Knowledge of health record format and content for all service types. Ability to examine a form for required elements and
determine its proper location within the legal medical record. Ability to consistently perform repetitive tasks with high
accuracy rate. Ability to evaluate and process a specific volume of documents per hour; Quick hand-eye coordination;
Organizational, problem-solving and attention to detail skills required. Excellent oral and written communication skills; Basic
skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.

Job Duties:
Prep records/documents:
- Prepare paper document for scanning, remove any binding material and repair of tears
- Analyze documents for required patient identification
- Organize documents by document type and in chronological order
- Batch prepped documents and route to the scanning area

Unload and receive documents:
- Unload records received from entities
- Log into tracking system
- Prepare records for prepping process

Loose/Specialized Documents:
- Retrieve documents from various systems
- Analyze documents for patient identification, print identification, as needed
- Batch like documents for scanning
- Batch prepped documents and route to the scanning area
- Monitor “Sweep” document queues
