Texas Health Resources Central Staffing-an internal staffing agency-is currently in search of a Registered Respiratory Therapist. This Full-time position will work a minimum 36 hours, varying shifts. Must have flexibility to float throughout the Metroplex to a minimum of three (3) or more entities. At least one (1) holiday worked per year.
Qualified candidates will possess the following:
- Graduate of a AMA approved Respiratory Care Program
- At least one year of previous experience Med/Surg or critical care of acute care hospital is preferred.
- Current RCP (Respiratory Care Practitioner license), RRT (Registered Respiratory Therapist license), BCLS (Basic Cardiac Life Support), ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) and NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)
- Good verbal communications, good interpersonal skills, and computer experience
Responsibilities will include patient assessment/plan of care, patient treatment performing treatment procedures that are within the scope of the professional license. Initiate action to protect patient rights and/or preferences; adhere to HIPAA, Safety and Infection Control guidelines. Documents verification of physician orders prior to delivery of care and all aspects of each treatment session with departmental, JACHO, Medicare, and other applicable regulatory guidelines. Candidates will be expected to maintain professional accountability utilizing available resources to maximize efficiency and productivity to meet departmental needs. Other duties as assigned. Basic computer knowledge, excellent verbal and written communication skills are a must.
