Our Texas Health Allen hospital is looking to hire a Quality Improvement Coordinator Registered Nurse full time..

Minimum Education Required:
Graduate of a NLN (National League of Nursing) or CCNE (Commission on Collegiate

Associate's Degree in Nursing is required (RNs hired after January 2017 require completion of BSN within 2 years of start date.
Bachelor's Degree in Nursing is preferred

Required minimum experience:
3 years recent clinical experience in acute care setting, prefer experience in healthcare quality performance improvement.

Required license/certification:
RN - Registered Nurse
CPHQ - Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality Preferred

Job Functions:
Analysis of performance improvement (PI) data for assigned projects/departments/teams/committees with the use of PI tools, Lean/Six Sigma principles, and/or statistical analysis. Develops reports and presents information in a timely manner for assigned projects/departments/teams/committees, to include credentialing and reappointment
data for medical staff peer review.
With the identified key person(s), coordinates and facilitates performance improvement activities for assigned projects/departments/teams/committees. Works with multiple audiences to include clinical and nonclinical staff and multidisciplinary groups. Collaborates with other resources (corporate office or affiliates) to pursue
performance excellence. Provides needed performance improvement training (from Lean, Rapid Cycle Improvement, SPC, etc). to assigned departments/projects/teams.
Assists with regulatory activities and actively participates with assigned projects teams committees, etc.
Understands and communicates Joint Commission and CMS standards and ensures these standards are incorporated into process redesigns.
Abstraction of charts for core measures or other performance improvement projects. Collects, aggregates, and trends performance data, and refers any variances from targets/standards to the appropriate hospital or medical staff department for review.
