Qualifications/Duties:
Texas Health Harris Methodist Hospital Fort Worth  seeks to hire a Child Life Specialist to work on the Palliative Care Unit.

WORK SCHEULE:
Monday - Friday 8:00 am - 5:00 pm

EDUCATION:
Bachelor’s degree in Child Life, Child Development or a closely related field.  (Required)

Completion of a child life internship (Required)

EXPERIENCE:
1 year in Child Life position in Hospital setting (Required)

LICENSE / CERTIFICATION:
CCLS- Certified Child Life Specialist - within 12 months of hire.

BCLS - Basic Life Support - within 30 days of hire.

SKILLS:
Ability to give instruction and clearly explain problems and solutions, strong customer service and problem resolution skills, strong interpersonal communication, critical thinking skills, and ability to build collaborative relationships to enhance outcomes
