The Margot Perot Women's Center at Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital Dallas, a MAGNET and baby friendly facility, is currently in need of an experienced Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse for a full time opportunity.

The Labor & Delivery department at Texas Health Dallas includes:
- 15 LDR's
- 5 observation rooms
- 4 triage rooms
- 3 OR suites
- The deliveries average over 350 deliveries per month.
Full Time: (3) 12-hour shifts, 6:45PM-7:15AM. Call shifts required.
Rotating weekends and holiday coverage.
The ideal candidate will possess the following:
(RNs hired after January 2017 require completion of BSN within 2 years of start date.)
Associate's degree in Nursing required.
Qualified candidates will be a Graduate of a NLN (National League of Nursing) or CCNE (Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education) accredited nursing programs.
***One (1) year experience as a clinical nurse (RN) required, or completion of an RN residency program.
(Experience as a clinical nurse (RN) in Labor and Delivery.)
***RN licensure or compact licensure recognized by the Texas Board of Nursing required
***Current AHA BLS training required
***ACLS, NRP and Advanced Fetal monitoring (EFM) certifications required upon hire.
The ideal candidate must have a high degree of confidentiality, and the ability to function in a fast-paced environment.
Basic computer skills, good verbal and written communication skills and service excellence skills are also essential attributes for this position.
Nurses/candidates for the department are the primary care coordinator of interdisciplinary patient care activities and is responsible for the management of patients throughout their continuum of care at Texas Health Resources. You will be responsible and accountable for high quality patient care through implementation of the nursing process including assessment of patient needs (physical, psychosocial, educational), design of a collaborative plan of care, implementation of the plan with appropriate delegation of tasks, coordination of team effort, and evaluation of patient progress towards outcomes. Acts as a patient/family advocate and seeks opportunities to communicate and coordinate patient care activities
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
- More than 2 years of current Labor & Delivery RN experience
- Skills: Triage, labor, deliver, circulate, recover and monitor patients
