Texas Health Dallas seeks to hire a full-time Psychiatric/Behavioral Health Nurse Practitioner to provide inpatient coverage.   

Required Education:
Bachelor's Degree Graduate of an accredited
nursing program. And Master's Degree Graduate of a Nurse Practitioner program

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:
RN - Registered Nurse Upon Hire And
APRN - Advanced Practice Nurse Upon Hire And
NP - Nurse Practitioner Upon Hire
PMHNP - Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner based on area of practice Upon Hire
BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support 30 Days And
ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support 30 Days And CPI - Crisis Prevention Intervention Training 30 Days

Experience Required:
2 Years experience as a Nurse Practitioner preferred

Responsibilities:

Utilizes principles and skills in communication and interviewing techniques in obtaining a comprehensive health history to formulate a plan of care and make decisions for appropriate therapeutic interventions
Uses principles and skills in advanced health assessment for differentiating normal and abnormal findings
Synthesizes knowledge of physiology, pathophysiology, culture, and socioeconomic to access, evaluate, and provide therapeutic interventions to patients
Collaborates with the multidisciplinary team to improve care processes in order to promote continuity of care
Initiates actions to meet patients/family’s needs
Takes actions to reduce patients risks
Performs specialty specific technical procedures safely and proficiently
Produces documentation that initiates, follows, and revises patients' plan of care
Focuses on adherence to clinical pathways, protocols, and policies to ensure high reliability of clinical program

Identifies realistic and measurable annual goals for advanced professional nursing development
Serves as patient advocate

Makes timely and appropriate decisions regarding unresolved/difficult patient care issues or conditions
Able to meet changing needs of unit to provide safe patient outcomes and customer satisfaction
