Our HEB (Hurst, Euless, Bedford) location is seeking to hire a Registered Nurse full time.
Schedule/Hours: 7AM - 7PM (rotating weekends, holidays)
Graduate of a NLN (National League of Nursing) or CCNE (Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education) accredited nursing programs.
Associate Degree; BSN preferred.
RNs hired after January 2017 require completion of BSN within 2 years of start date.
RN license or compact license recognized by the Texas Board of Nursing Education, BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support upon hire , CPI certification within 30 days of hire, ACPI - Advanced Crisis Prevention Intervention Training within 12 months of hire.
The nurse is an integral member of the interdisciplinary treatment team within the psychiatric illness and chemical dependency programs. The nurse assesses, plans, provides and evaluates direct nursing care and contributes to the patients’ overall treatment plan by establishing treatment goals and interventions to help patients achieve those goals. He/she provides and/or coordinates educational components of patient care that will increase patients’ understanding of health, psychiatric illness, addiction, and rehabilitation. The nurse provides assessment, treatment and consultation services in a sensitive and caring manner and promotes the notion of illness wellness/management, recovery and self-sufficiency as a goal of treatment.
