Maintenance Generalist to work the 3rd Shift at Texas Health Harris Methodist Hospital Hurst-Euless-Bedford (HEB)
High School Diploma or GED required
One year of maintenance experience in a commercial or industrial environment required; experience in a healthcare environment preferred.
Texas Class C Driver’s License
Proficient in the use of computerized systems for all aspects of job performance;
Ability to perform basic building maintenance functions to include painting and general repairs;
Working knowledge of basic hand/ power tool operation;
Ability to recognize and solve practical problems or issues;
Ability to communicate maintenance problems to hospital departments and departmental supervisors;
Ability to work in extreme temperatures;
Ability to work unsupervised and in teams;
Excellent written, verbal, and listening skills;
Ability work nights, weekends, and/or holidays
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: (including, but not limited to)
Provide basic building repair and maintenance support including, but not limited to, general mechanical repairs, painting, electrical, plumbing, customer requests, grounds, and the like utilizing the computerized maintenance management system.
Participate in hospital and departmental safety programs, education opportunities, and related training.
Responsible for maintaining the physical and functional integrity of the building grounds, its utilities and delivery systems. Completes work assigned, from a work order, email or phone call along with tasks assigned by supervisor.
Responsible for maintaining equipment used for upkeep and service of facility, including, but not limited to: tractor, truck, trailer, lawn mowers and small power tools, irrigation system (s). Patient room beds/stretchers/over-bed tables etc. Pneumatic tube system. Nurse call system(s). Inputs work orders into Aims computerized work order and tracking system. Spreading of sand and or shoveling of snow and ice in inclement weather.
