Our HEB (Hurst, Euless, Bedford) location is seeking to hire a Program Coordinator Stroke Registered Nurse full time.
BSN, prefer Masters Degree
5 years progressive quality or customer service line experience in a health care setting
3 years hospital acute experience
RN license or compact license recognized by the Texas Board of Nursing Education
Prefer upon hire SCRN - Stroke Certified Registered Nurse
Required skills include: Ability to lead a multidisciplinary team; effective interpersonal skills; excellent verbal and written communication skills in English; advanced knowledge of current professional and health care issues and nursing practice; project management skills; computer skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access, ability to navigate electronic medical records; knowledge of Joint Commission standards.
The Stroke Program Coordinator provides leadership and vision for the Stroke Program including operations, services, patient care, best practice and evidence based care, and maintaining the hospital's primary stroke center certification.
Activities include concurrent and retrospective case reviews, staff and provider education, facilitation of committee meetings, attending community education events, building and maintaining relationships with community EMS providers, and oversight of continuous improvement processes.
