Texas Health Harris Methodist Hospital Fort Worth is seeking an OR Equipment Tech for full time employment.

MINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIRED: High school diploma (or GED)



MINIMUM REQUIRED SKILLS: Mechanically inclined; troubleshooting skills.

WORK HOURS/SCHEDULE: 10:30pm to 7:00am Sunday through Thursday, some weekends and holidays

• Checks schedule to pro-actively plan for equipment needs
• Assembles and prepares equipment for surgical cases.
• Stocks and orders supplies in assigned area of responsibility.
• Substitutes equipment promptly and efficiently when repairs cannot be made.
• Hold patient extremities to assist with surgical preps.
• Operate equipment as assigned/delegated
• Demonstrates aseptic technique:
• Knowledgeable about functioning and troubleshooting for key equipment:
• Responds courteously to requests for needed equipment
• Facilitates locating and delivery of instruments & equipment approved for loan to the
• Identifies need for repair to floors, walls, ceilings and plumbing, and submits appropriate work orders.
• Proactively identifies room needs and delivers equipment efficiently.
• Substitutes equipment promptly and efficiently when repairs cannot be made.
• Performs specifically assigned duties efficiently without oversight (i.e Autotransfusion, laser, video,microscopes)
• Active participation with Key Performance Indicator
