MINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:

High School Graduate or G.E.D. preferred

MINIMUM SKILL REQUIREMENTS:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Capable of working independently, setting priorities, and being flexible.

Cleans an assigned area as scheduled following established PBDS Standards. Empties, clean, and reline trash receptacles. Properly dispose of all waste, including bio hazardous materials. High dust surfaces above shoulder height. Sanitize and spot cleans all horizontal surfaces.

Additional cleaning and bed making as required by patient discharge or transfer to include removal of clinical support equipment and supplies as well as soiled linen. Clean rest rooms, restocking dispensers. Dust hard surface floors/vacuum carpets. Sanitize floors/carpets. Insure customer satisfaction with completed work.

Sanitizes and cleans the Medication Storage room under Nursing Supervision, paying close attention not to move any medication left in the areas and expected to inform Nursing of medications left out in the area.

Performs specialized cleaning as scheduled, and varying with assigned area.


Specialized cleaning and support for patient isolations.
Terminal cleaning of: Patient rooms, operating rooms, emergency rooms, labor & delivery rooms, ICU and special procedure rooms as well as associated specialized furniture and equipment.
Additional cleaning and bed making as required by patient discharge or transfer to include removal of clinical support equipment and supplies as well as soiled linen.
