Hours: Monday thru Friday, 8:00am to 5:00pm

RNs hired after January 2017 require completion of BSN within 2 years of start date.

Experience:
2 Years Relevant experience related to patient safety, risk management.

License/Certification Required:
LVN - Licensed Vocational Nurse Upon Hire
RN - Registered Nurse Upon Hire  Or

Demonstrated need for documented proof of compliance to applicable laws, regulatory  requirements, policies and procedures in the multiple out patient settings as assessed by subject matter experts. The subject matter expert must possess and be skilled in the knowledge involving, but not limited to Environment of Care, Life Safety, Emergency Management, OSHA, and NFPA in order to train and educate employees in adherence to regulatory requirements as well as provide a safe working environment and provision of patient safety.

Essential Functions:
•Specific responsibility for planning, implementation, and management of Environment of Care (EOC): OSHA, Life Safety, Emergency Preparedness and Management programs within Federal/State, and THR guidelines.
•Responsibility for education, training, and coaching of facility staff and leadership relevant to, but not limited to EOC issues, OSHA, Life Safety, Emergency Management, Joint Commission, EPA, NFPA, DEA, TDH-DSHS, etc.
•Prepares and analyzes safety reports from surveillance of the medical office practices. Conducts interviews with clinic staff and management related to EOC, OSHA, Emergency Management, and Hazardous Materials.
•Maintains reporting documents and forwards pertinent information to appropriate key stakeholders. Escalates any urgent findings to Director Risk Management. Always supportive in the training and delivery of regulatory requirements.
•Attendance and involvement in appropriate committee meetings, organization meetings and co-ordination of plans to promote compliance with specified regulatory requirements.

Skills and Abilities:
•Understanding of OSHA and employee/patient safety in the workplace. Strong communication skills (written, verbal & presentation). Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel. Knowledge of HIPAA Privacy and Security requirements.
