Texas Health Dallas seeks to hire a prn Acute Care Nurse Practitioner for the Orthopedic Service Line. This opportunity will be working day shift during the week on a prn basis, but may require flexibility for some weekend and/ or evening programs.

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:
Licensed by Texas State BON for RN and Advanced Practice Nurse Practitioner with prescriptive authority; Acute Care Nurse Practitioner Certification; BLS; ACLS.
1-2 years’ experience preferred or clinical rotation in specialty area and nursing background, Two (2) years of Orthopedic experience preferred.

Utilizes principles and skills in communication and interviewing techniques in obtaining a comprehensive health history to formulate a plan of care and make decisions for appropriate therapeutic interventions
Uses principles and skills in advanced health assessment for differentiating normal and abnormal findings
Synthesizes knowledge of physiology, pathophysiology, culture, and socioeconomic to access, evaluate, and provide therapeutic interventions to patients
Collaborates with the multidisciplinary team to improve care processes in order to promote continuity of care
Initiates actions to meet patients/families needs
Takes actions to reduce patients risks
Performs specialty specific technical procedures safely and proficiently
Produces documentation that initiates, follows, and and revises patients' plan of care
Focuses on adherence to clinical pathways, protocols, and policies to ensure high reliability of clinical program
