Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital of Plano is seeking a RAD Mammographer in the Women's Diagnostic Center
The Women's Diagnostic Center offers 3D screening, Diagnostic Mammography, Stereotactic and MRI-guide breast biopsies plus ultrasound guided breast biopsies and breast ultrasounds.
PRN: As needed
Variable Days Mon - Fri, 7:00 am - 5:00 pm.
Saturday rotating call required
Minimum Education Requirements:
Successful completion of accredited course of study for Radiologic Technologists Advance study and continuing education in mammography.
Minimum Licensure Requirements:
ARRT (R), ARRT (M), or registry eligible (required within 1 year) CMRT (TDH), BCLS (CPR)
Minimum Experience Requirements:
1 year of Diagnostic Radiology, Mammography training program. Must meet the mammography requirements as stated in Federal Register for MQSA in Final Rules, Part 900.12(a)(2).
Minimum Skill Requirements:
Ability to produce high quality mammography images with special views as directed by the radiologist, excellent verbal and writing skills, and ability to organize and analyze information. Exceptional Customer service skills required directed and independent
JOB DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES:
Ensure the continuity of care by providing appropriate response to age-specific needs.
Ensures patient apparatus is in working order and ready to use to eliminate patient risk.
Verifies accuracy of exam and relevant clinical information by identifying correct patient for exam using two identifiers.
Determines appropriateness of exam in consultation with radiologist.
Ensures safety of patient.
Responds appropriately to patients needs while ensuring patient safety and providing for efficiency of workflow throughout the department.
Maintains patient safety and confidentiality
Assess level of patient care, demonstrates knowledge of contrast media, and identifies /validates exam
Manages daily workload and ensures image quality
Knowledge of PAC’s, HIS, RIS
Maintains confidentiality, privacy and complies with HIPAA guidelines.
Follows infection control guidelines
Demonstrates knowledge of quality control
Identify and troubleshoot workflow processes
Participates in quality improvement processes
Promotes customer satisfaction and patient safety
Performs all duties in compliance with HIPAA, JCAHO, hospital and department standards / policies
Perform other duties as assigned
