Qualifications/Duties:
Texas Health Harris Methodist Southwest Hospital is currently in search of an Operating Room Registered Nurse to help meet the growing needs of our patients to work Full Time.

THSW Peri-operative department consists of 16 operating rooms, with 50% of our case volume dedicated to Orthopedic surgery. Other service lines include, general, gynecology, orthopedic spine, urology, ENT and peripheral vascular. We presently have 2 DaVinci SI robots and perform prostatectomies, nephrectomies, hysterectomies and single site cholecystectomies.

Required minimum education:

*Graduate of a NLN (National League of Nursing) or CCNE (Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education) accredited nursing programs.
*For RNs hired after Jan 2014 completion of BSN within 3 years of THR RN start date as defined in offer letter.
*Effective Dec 2015 RNs hired or transferring in THR completion of BSN within 2 years.
*BSN preferred upon hire.


Required license/certification:

*Current AHA BLS training
*Current TX or Compact RN License
*A high degree of confidentiality, positive interpersonal skills, and ability to function in a fast-paced environment.

Required Experience:

*Minimum of 1 year recent RN experience in Surgery

Preferred Experience:

*Care Connect (EPIC) computer charting.
*Data entry skills, Able to function in a fast paced environment, Teamwork a must
*BSN
*Minimum 2 years recent RN experience in Surgery

Shift:

*Monday-Friday
*Days
*8 hour shifts, could consider 10 hour shifts
*40 Hours Per Weekend
*Benefits Eligible
