Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital Dallas, a Magnet facility, is currently in need of a Registered Nurse for our NEW Medically Complex Unit
The schedule will be full time nights 7pm to 7 am 36 hours a week which will includes working rotating weekends, holidays and on-call.
Qualified candidates will be a Graduate of a NLN (National League of Nursing) or CCNE (Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education) accredited nursing programs.
RNs hired after January, 2014, require completion of BSN within 3 years of start date. RNs hired within THR after December, 2016, require completion of BSN within 2 years of start date.
BSN - Preferred
BLS - Required
ACLS - Preferred
Behavioral Health experience preferred
One year minimum experience as a Registered Nurse in Medical Surgical and/or ED, Trauma; Psychic or Telemetry unit.
Current RN licensure or compact licensure recognized by the Texas Board of Nursing.
This position requires that you prepare assessments of patient's progress and keep family informed, monitor pain management procedures, participate in the discharge-planning process, ensure current and accurate patient documentation.
You will perform patient care in an environment that optimizes patient safety and reduces likelihood of medical/healthcare errors and will adhere to patient identification processes and side/site verification.
Basic computer knowledge, excellent verbal and written communication skills are a must. A high degree of confidentiality, positive interpersonal skills, and ability to function in a fast-paced environment.
