Meet all city, state, and federal certification standards.
High School Diploma or equivalent
Ability to exercise independent judgment.
Demonstrate initiative in assuming responsibilities.
Must be cooperative, discreet and courteous in handling visitors and employees.
Reading, basic math, written language in English.
Prepares food according to production sheets following simple or complex recipes. Utilizes appropriate equipment
Uses creativity to produce foods that look and taste appealing.
Assesses and tastes food prepared to verify flavor and texture standards. Understands department standards of food quality and recipe tasting. Demonstrates ability to adjust recipes if necessary.
Suggests menu or recipe ideas. Utilizes leftovers or uses food before it expires
Organizes self and work area for maximum efficiency.
Learns and follows established standards for food safety and sanitation according to hazard analysis critical control points (HACCP). Checks food temperatures before serving using the appropriate procedure.
Cleans work area prior to end of shift.
Performs other job duties as assigned by Supervisor/Manager.
•Our Culinary Team is utilized in every part of our business. Cook staff assists with Menu development for both Patient and Café Menus including cost management and menu mix. Cook staff assist in catering functions from 20-500 guests. Monthly a Cook is highlighted by executing a Board Style Dinner which the Team Members develops from inception to execution.
